I spent the morning on Sunday walking around Bob Woodruff Park in Plano TX…and couldn’t be happier. I had my Canon 7D, Canon 400mm 5.6 L and my Induro CT314 tripod and set out to walk the park and watch some birds.
First thing I noticed after walking half-way around the lake was a couple of Great Blue Herons…..I chased them around for about 1.5 hours and I think I got a few good photographs…take a look and let me know what you think.

Your photos are really great! I have got to try to save up for the 400mm 5.6!
Thank you James! The 400mm 5.6 is an awesome lens when paired with a good tripod/monopod and a little bit of skill.
These shots are professional looking shots, especially the first one. How much post processing are you doing?
Thanks Danny. The first shot has very little PP on it….the others have some change to color/contrast. All have some PP for tone/color/contrast and some sharpening.
