Birdwatching at Bob Woodruff Park in Plano TX (Dallas)

I spent the morning on Sunday walking around Bob Woodruff Park in Plano TX…and couldn’t be happier. I had my Canon 7D, Canon 400mm 5.6 L and my Induro CT314 tripod and set out to walk the park and watch some birds.

First thing I noticed after walking half-way around the lake was a couple of Great Blue Herons…..I chased them around for about 1.5 hours and I think I got a few good photographs…take a look and let me know what you think.

Your photos are really great! I have got to try to save up for the 400mm 5.6!

Thank you James! The 400mm 5.6 is an awesome lens when paired with a good tripod/monopod and a little bit of skill.
