Blue Jay – Birdwatching in Dallas

This Blue Jay was shy…always stayed in the bushes and rarely came out. I was able to get this shot during on of the few times he popped out into the open. Captured with Canon 7D and Canon 400mm 5.6 L sitting on my Induro CT314 Tripod.

As usual, it is a good, focused and well defined shot. It wasn't taken today though since it is cold and rainy this Sunday, 4-18-10!
