I was testing out my new Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM Lens today and was lucky enough to see a Green Heron around the pond.
I had to track him down a bit to get a good shot but he finally posed nicely for me. Here’s a few samples. I’m loving this lens.

Ever wonder what the heck people are talking about when they mention DOF (Depth of Field)? I can’t explain really explain it…but I can show it. This is a great example of Shallow Depth of Field.
